PCR assays to provide evidence for identifying the fla18 gene by reversion. A dCAPS marker shows reversion of fla18. Upper panel, a 132 bp PCR fragment was amplified in wild-type, fla18, and three fla18 true revertants (R1, R2, and R3). Lower panel: the amplified fragment was subjected to MboII digestion, which generates a 103 bp fragment if the enzyme site is present in the PCR product.
