Basal bodies of MKS3-depleted cells are misalignedprimarily at the dorsal midline. Cells were stained usinganti-centrin to visualize the basal bodies. Images represent stacks of Zsections approximately 10 μm thick. The images shown are the dorsalsurface of the anterior side of the cell. Basal bodies should be arranged inorganized rows, as shown in the control and IFT88-depleted cells. TheMKS3-depleted cell (center panel) shows the basal bodies notaligned and no longer in straight rows (white arrows) at the midline of thecell. Scale bars: 10 μm.
